Dr. Richard Zavoda

Dr. Zavoda attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he received his undergraduate degree in Zoology in 1988. He completed his doctor of optometry degree at Ohio State University in 1992. Dr Zavoda practiced full scope optometry in Columbus, Ohio for 14 years. In that time he successfully completed pre and post operative training for PRK and LASIK with TLC and the Columbus Laser Center. He also completed pre and post operative cataract care with multiple ophthalmology practices in Ohio. Dr. Zavoda enjoys educating his patients about their ocular health and has a special interest in fitting contact lenses. In 2006, he left his practice of 12 years and moved to Denver with his wife, Lisa, and their dog Winston. Dr. Zavoda supported his community in Columbus through Project Insight and the Luxottica Group’s Vision Van, both of which are programs that promote vision care for underprivileged children. Since moving to Denver, his community involvement includes participation in a health fair held at The Gathering Place. Dr. Zavoda takes advantage of the outdoors and spends his spare time golfing, skiing, hiking and camping.
