She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Truman State University and her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Dr. Michelle Koh attended University of Texas at Austin and University of St. Thomas, where she received her B.A. Liberal Arts in Biology and English. She earned her doctorate of optometry from University of Houston College of Optometry in 2007. Dr. Koh completed her externship rotation at the Albuquerque Indian Hospital, where she routinely examined patients with diabetes and diabetic retinopathy. She maintained 13 state licenses for a few years as a locum tenens optometrist before settling down in Denver, Colorado.
